In partnership with Transdev, John Holland will operate Greater Sydney Bus Contract Region 9 until 2030.
Throughout the contract, we will introduce 136 new zero emission buses, connecting people in a greener, more reliable commute.
Our team of over 1100 employees is responsible for delivering more than 33,000 weekly services, including 11 All Day Frequent Network bus routes operating every 10 minutes or better during the day, seven days a week. Bus services will be operating out of three depots in Sydney’s Eastern and South-eastern suburbs, located in Randwick, Waverley and Port Botany and managing a total fleet of close to 500 buses.

Region 9 includes some of Sydney’s busiest bus routes, with 67 million customer journeys travelling 22 million kilometres on average each year and is the largest bus contract in Australia.
