<p><span lang="EN-AU" dir="ltr">This is the first multi-modal contract in John Holland’s 73-year history and makes us one of the only private organisations in Australia to operate trains, trams and buses.</span></p><p><span lang="EN-AU" dir="ltr">The joint venture with Transit Systems and UGL covers the North South contract region of Adelaide Metro’s service area. Torrens Connect operates 24 tram sets, over 200 buses and employs more than 400 staff members, delivering world-class and customer-focused tram and bus services across Adelaide.</span></p>

As part of Torrens Connect, John Holland is undertaking a landmark contract with the South Australian government to operate bus and tram services in Adelaide. Partnering with UGL to create Adelaide Metro Operations (AMO), the joint venture is responsible for the operations and maintenance of Adelaide’s iconic Glenelg to Adelaide tram network.
