Crucial health infrastructure for the Sunshine Coast community.

Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital

The four-level private hospital is a leading health facility and dramatically reduces the need for Sunshine Coast residents to travel to Brisbane for treatment and care.

The Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital has 200 beds offering an extensive range of medical and surgical services.

The $105 million hospital was built on a 1.2 hectare greenfield site that presented a number of challenges including managing a project in an area with no existing infrastructure, and unforeseen ground conditions. Despite these challenges, the team successfully delivered the hospital before schedule and under budget.

The hospital includes six state-of-the-art operating theatres, a day procedure room, catheter laboratory, eight intensive care beds, day oncology unit, 160 in-patient beds, commercial kitchen, pharmacy, specialist medical consulting suites and a comprehensive range of diagnostic services.

The hospital won Project of the Year at the 2014 Master Builders Housing and Construction Awards, Sunshine Coast.
This was a local project, with 60% of the 2,000 strong workforce hailing from the local Pine River.
We focused on engaging with the local community, raising nearly $8,000 for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation - a locally started national foundation promoting child safety.
