Kicking off a new era in live entertainment.

Sydney Football Stadium
 Redevelopment

The newly redeveloped Sydney Football Stadium is a modern, world-class venue, positioning Sydney as an international sporting and entertainment destination of choice for sporting and entertainment events.

The state-of-the-art precinct at Moore Park is driving growth in the visitor economy, promoting a strong cultural and sporting sector, and making NSW more liveable.

The rectangular stadium has a capacity of up to 42,500, integrating state-of-the-art technology to improve the fan experience, along with improved sightlines and facilities designed to service future needs.

A key design feature is the innovative lightweight, cloud-like steel roof structure which reflects noise back into the stadium, minimising noise impacts for nearby neighbours.

The project scope also included the establishment of a public domain within the site, incorporating hard and soft landscaping works; publicly accessible event and operational areas; public art; provision of pedestrian and cycling facilities; and extension and augmentation of utilities and associated infrastructure.

This is a local project, built by local people. Throughout construction, we supported 1,100 jobs, hundreds of which were local to Sydney.

Award-winning Indigenous artist Tony Albert created the artwork across the stadium’s seat, with the theme “Two Worlds Colliding – Water and Land” telling a story about place and country, while providing a nod to the contest of two competing teams.
The stadium is accessible to a diverse range of people including those of different ages, backgrounds, gender, and mobility. It provides adult changing places and other enhancements to cater for different user groups such as unisex toilets, prayer rooms and parenting rooms.
