John Holland selected as delivery partner for Sydney Metro West Linewide package.

Sydney Metro has announced John Holland as the preferred delivery partner for the Sydney Metro West Linewide package, a project set to transform transport across Sydney’s west.

The project will deliver the critical rail infrastructure and systems needed for metro train operations for the 24-kilometre underground railway connecting the Sydney and Parramatta CBDs, through to Westmead.

The scope of work includes delivering key buildings such as the Stabling and Maintenance Facility, Operations Control Centre and the Rosehill Service Facility, 60-kilometres of track, high voltage and low voltage electrical, 25kV traction power, and communications and control systems.

As the leading provider of end-to-end rail and transport solutions in Australia and New Zealand, John Holland will self-deliver the majority of the work with the expertise of its skilled in-house rail services teams.

Steve Butcher, John Holland’s Managing Director for Rail and Transport, said: “I am so proud of our team who have worked so hard on this, and we look forward to delivering another stage of this city-shaping project for Sydney.”

We’ll draw on international experience and lessons learned to deliver an Australian-first track system that will significantly improve constructability, and noise and vibration performance inside tunnels and stations.

John Holland is proud to play a key role in delivering another stage of this transformational project for the NSW Government
