Tunnelling

We’re renowned for our tunnelling capabilities. As a major component of many complex road and rail projects, our tunnels help keep cities moving safely and efficiently. On a smaller scale, we also build tunnels to safely move water and wastewater, including water that drives hydro turbines.

We’ve bored tunnels in hard rock, soft ground and underwater, and have a dedicated tunnelling team with specialist knowledge about the right technology and method. Our expertise is powering the successful delivery of some of Australia’s biggest public transport projects – including tunnelling under Sydney Harbour for Sydney Metro, as well as the West Gate tunnel in Melbourne.

It’s an area that carries certain risks and complexities. And that's why we’re working more and more with robotics that can navigate tasks in the most complex project sites, creating a safer alternative for our people, and clients.

Moving into the future, we’ll continue to lead the way. Implementing cutting-edge technology to find new, emerging solutions. At the forefront to resolve any potential challenges – from every perspective.
