Batemans Bay Bridge
The new bridge across the Clyde River at Batemans Bay will improve road safety and freight access and reduce congestion in this regional NSW hub.
John Holland is the designer and builder of the new four-lane bridge, which has far-reaching benefits to the local community.
Not only will the bridge provide a safer and more reliable crossing to Batemans Bay, but it will also make the area more accessible to freight.
Demolition of the old bridge has started following the opening of the new bridge to two lanes of traffic in early 2021.
The project is already delivering long-lasting benefits to locals by building the future construction skills base of the South Coast workforce.
A critical element has been the high-risk work undertaken in a marine park environment and close proximity to the thriving local oyster industry.
