Leadership Programs
Emerging Leaders Program
This program is a two year leadership development program where the aim is to build the capabilities of potential leaders in the organisation by focusing on the areas of leadership, coaching, people management and global business practices. Candidates are nominated by senior management for the program, and are put through a rigorous review of their leadership techniques.
Supervisors Program
The Supervisors Program provides training for various levels of our frontline management ranging from Leading Hands to Superintendents. The project leadership skills include planning, time and cost management. Once a frontline manager progresses to the Superintendent Level they are eligible to attend our Super Leaders Challenge. This challenge is a five day outdoor experiential leadership development program which develops the skills of team members moving from managing people to managing managers.
Executive Development Program
This program aims to continually grow the capability of the executive group to lead the organisation. Each individual has a customised development plan to grow their capability over a two year period, with access to executive health services, and an assigned coach or mentor to guide them through the reinforcement and improvement of leadership standards at the senior level.
Specialist Programs
National Graduate Program
This two year program has the aim of providing our existing and future graduates with a strategic program that offers career development and learning opportunities, whilst assisting John Holland with its talent attraction, development and retention.

Project Management
This program provides significant assessment and development for project manager based throughout John Holland. The program ensures our teams continually perform in terms of project delivery, whilst at the same time ensuring the best outcomes for our clients, teams and partners.
Flexible Futures Initiative
The Flexible Futures Initiative offers a range of options for mature-aged workers in phasing their retirement, and ensuring that John Holland retains their knowledge, experience and leadership qualities.
Performance & Development Planning
At John Holland we offer the ability for an employee to design and agree with their manager their own Performance and Development plan. This ensures the development, career paths and aspirations of our people are driven by the very people that are following that path, and we believe that everyone should own and manage their own career. To compliment this we ensure a wide range of programs and support is given to all team members in the process of designing and determining their plan.
