The successful launch and widespread acceptance of our industry-leading Passport to Safety Excellence Program is well known within John Holland and the wider construction sector.
The Passport to Safety Excellence Program
The Passport to Safety Excellence Program is a John Holland national training initiative. It is a key element of the John Holland occupational health, safety and workers’ compensation improvement strategy and will assist us in achieving our vision of No Harm.
The Passport Program comprises a total of 16 training modules which, upon completion, will give successful candidates a Certificate IV in Safety Leadership – Construction. In what is a credit to the dedication and commitment of the Safety team, the Program has been endorsed by both the Federal Safety Commissioner and the National Safety and Compensation Council. We expect that this initiative will eventually become an industry-wide platform, and we will continue to lead the industry in achieving world-class safety standards.
Almost 1,600 people across the company, including our Chairman, Janet Holmes à Court, have attended the Leadership Module of the course. This program is one way in which we, as a company, are changing the face of occupational health and safety for the betterment of the industry.
John Holland takes a holistic approach to safety, and we understand that to keep our teams safe we must ensure they are well trained, motivated and understanding when it comes to safety in any of our job sites.
Our commitment to safety extends from our Board members all the way down to our operational teams on any of our projects throughout Australia.
