At John Holland we understand the importance of our people, our environment and the communities within which we work. At the centre of each of these areas is our vision of "No Harm".
No Harm is a guiding principle that applies equally to safety, environmental management and community relations.
Safety
The safety of our employees, subcontractors amd everyone who visits a John Holland workplace is central to our business culture. The vision of No Harm encompasses a core belief that all injuries are preventable. This is achieved through improved occupational health and safety knowledge, awareness and understanding, supported by robust management systems with clear accountability and guidance.
John Holland aims to be an industry leader in safety, and we place the highest priority on demonstrating safe work practices and safety in the workplace. Our Passport to Safety Excellence Program is an integral part of this approach.
Environment
We are committed to doing business in a way that recognises the importance of environmental protection, and we strive to achieve industry best practices in all of our operations. As a result, we strive towards No Harm to the environments amongst which we work.
Community
Partnerships are central to everything that we do. We work in partnership with Joint Venture partners, subcontractors, clients and, just as importantly, communities. Our No Harm approach to communities is central to the successful delivery of projects. On top of that, we provide infrastructure that benefits the communities within which we work, whether locally, regionally, or nationally.
